Sun 26.09Day of the Monument: Experts talk behind the scenes. Built for Everyone – an exhibition is created 4:00 pm–5:00 pm

On November 18, 2021, the Nordico Stadtmuseum will open the architecture exhibition Built for Everyone. Curt Kühne and Julius Schulte: Planning a socially inclusive Linz (1909 – 38). For the first time, the exhibition not only sheds light on these two important architectural personalities for Linz, but also on a chapter of the city’s history that is still influential today. As part of the cooperation between the Nordico Stadtmuseum and the afo architekturforum oberösterreich, the exhibition Kühne, Schulte, Gegenwart” will be held at Herbert-Bayer-Platz 1 in Linz.

How is an architecture exhibition created? Who is involved and how? How do the museum’s departments interact? What research is necessary and possible? Where do the exhibits come from and how are they worked with? How is the catalog created?

While the exhibition is still being worked on, we invite you to take a look behind the scenes at the graphic depot along these questions. Research assistant Lisa Schmidt and guest curator Georg Wilbertz will provide unique insights and will be available to answer any questions participants may have.

Ticket reservation is required, the number of participants is limited to a maximum of 20 people.
