Free August for Families* at Nordico

This year, Nordico Stadtmuseum, together with Lentos Kunstmuseum, is once again taking part in Free August for Families*. Whether you’re visiting Nordico for the first time or rediscovering it, the exhibition Made in Linz, fascinating insights into the city’s history and creative hands-on activities make every museum visit an enjoyable holiday experience for visitors of all ages.

There is plenty to discover together: Families* can pick up the free Travel Guide at the ticket desk, featuring fun and engaging activities that lead visitors through the exhibition Made in Linz. In the permanent exhibition Linz Blick, artworks and historical objects come to life through augmented reality. Visitors can also design and send a personal greeting from the museum using a postcard featuring the Stadtmuse and typical Linz expressions.

*Families come in many forms: everyone is welcome who would like to explore the museum together with children, whether as family by birth, choice or affection. Free admission is available for up to two adults accompanying children (up to 18 years of age) from 1 – 31 August 2025. Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am – 6 pm, Thursday, 10 am – 8 pm. The museum is closed on Mondays.
