Writing Letters to the Dead
GRIEFYARDS is an international art and writing project, initiated by Celine Vanhoutte and Rosa Braber, that creates space for grief, love, and remembrance. As part of the exhibition Death Positive. Because Dying Happens, mailboxes throughout the city of Linz invite people to write anonymous letters to deceased loved ones. A selection of these letters will be transformed into works of art by artists and presented as part of a opening reception on November 26 at the Nordico, featuring storytelling performances —poetic, accessible, and moving. The artworks will be on view and available for purchase until the end of the “Death Positive” exhibition (through April 4, 2027).
No registration required; cost: museum admission only
